Earlier today, EA announced that Battlefield 4 will be coming
to the PC, PS4, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. And now we’ve got the
official release date: October 29, 2013. Battlefield 4 will be released
on all platforms simultaneously, making it likely the biggest release in
the franchise to date.
Furthermore, developer DICE has revealed that Battlefield 4 multiplayer will be showcased at E3 on June 10. No word on what the multiplayer showing will feature, but we really hope it includes some form of Commander mode.
One thing we’re certain: we’ll be seeing Battlefield 4 on the PS4 and Xbox One at E3. Hopefully multiplayer on next gen consoles will be bumped up to 64 players. One of the new features of the Xbox One is that the new Xbox Live cloud can power some aspects of multiplayer, increasing the player size in games.
